Country Maples RV Resort
Well I'm back... For another one of you guessed it “Roada's RVing Adventures” and this time we were at one of Vancouver Island's Finest Resorts, the Oh So lovely Country Maples RV Resort. This resort has 30 Acres of the most beautiful Parkland, is centrally located on the Trans Canada Highway just one mile South of Chemainus and nine miles North of Duncan. Although the Park is adjacent to the Island Highway, the campsites are in a quiet valley (no highway noise), in fact the Chemainus River runs nearby and with the waters surrounding the Island, this resort is a fisherman's, or in our case a fisherwoman's paradise. You can well imagine that Madge was once again in her glory!
And yes… Possums we did enjoy some tasty fish off the Grill.
But that's not all; we enjoyed testing our skill at a challenging round of 18 Hole Mini Golf, made good use of the Heated Swimming Pool that has plenty of room for everyone. And as though she wasn't busy enough, Madge was thrilled to join in a game of Bingo.
For the youngsters they have a spacious open grassed area with a playground and an Arcade for them to enjoy.
In addition to that amenities include a Laundromat, Recreation Rooms and Country Store.
For your convenience they also have a Sani-Station on site.
They offer over 112 sites with full and partial service, 75 of which are Large private and provide plenty of shade with full hook ups, 30 and 50 amp service, 57 sites are partial hook up and 28 for those of you with no necessity for hook ups. They're open April 1 st thru to October 31 st and advance reservations are recommended.
In close proximity you can enjoy a trip to the Forestry Museum nearby or Chemainus to visit the World Famous Murals or Live Theatre. There's also a full 18 Hole Golf Course in close proximity for those of you that prefer a little more of a challenge.
