Malahat Mountain Meadows RV Park & Camping
Cheerio! After a long a chilly winter, Madge & I have left our dreary little fl at this past April embarked into our brand spanking new caravan, fi lled it with Petrol and began our new season of RV Adventure. Our fi rst visit led us to the breathtaking Malahat Mountain Meadows RV Park and Camping, nestled between Victoria and the Cowichan Valley, centrally located on the beautiful Malahat summit drive.
Malahat Mountain Meadows offers 63 lots, 30 full serviced, 15 Water and power sites as well as 28 dry and tent sites, all with a choice of sunny or shaded parking sites, and full service weekly rates just under $200, we decided to stay for the week.
Madge and I were completely delighted that they had an outdoor heated pool, and course Madge had to give it a go, as she frocked around in the pool, I took to a little hike on the bark mulch walking paths, I was totally enchanted by the beauty of the tall majestic cedars lining the walk way, as well as the intoxicating odors you can only fi nd when you are in the nature.
As I headed back to the pool, I could hear Madge still frolicking and being silly with other campers that she had met. After much convincing I fi nally got Madge out of the warmth of the pool. We changed into our trousers and took a short jaunt across the highway and came across a restaurant, oh what a site she was, as we sat down we were mesmerized by the spectacular views from their outdoor patio.
Although it was still pretty early in the day we were getting a little peckish, we proceeded to order chips and toddy to tide us over until dinner time. After many hours of lavishing on the beautiful outdoor patio, and course after too many toddy’s we headed back to our beautiful campsite. Chums from the neighboring campsite came over to visit, to tell us about their travels of the day to the local attractions, oh what fun they did have! We decided that we would cook with the fi re pit and invited our chums to stay for bangers. Well our fi rst day of RVing pleasure has come to an end…., this has been another smashing destination that meets with the royal stamp of approval!
